International Day of Education

Transforming the future requires an urgent rebalancing of our relationships with each other and with the nature. "A day in the Farm" is one of activities that we will organize to bring customers closer to nature, as well as provide natural and healthy food, and allow visitors to enjoy the seasons and all the elements of an Albanian village, such as planting, livestock and handicrafts. Children will have space dedicated, with activities that bring them closer to nature and encourage their creativity. A small farm and restaurant which offers local, seasonal and traditionally cooked food.

International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust

A 7-day tour to the intersection of Jewish history and culture with world societies and religions in search of greater mutual understanding. Albania’s Jewish history begins with the arrival of shipwrecked Roman boats carrying Jewish slaves from Israel, shortly after the destruction of the Second Temple. (Archaeologists recently discovered the ruins of a synagogue in Saranda, dating to the fifth century.)

World Wetlands Day

On 2 February every year, the world celebrates World Wetlands Day to raise public awareness of the importance of wetlands for humanity and the planet. To celebrate this important day, many events are organized around the world. A personalized 5-day tour will be organised for the birdwatchers lovers in one of the most important wetlands in Albania, the Karavasta Lagoon. Karavasta Lagoon, part of Divjake-Karavasta national park, listed since 1994 as a Wetland of International Importance (Ramsar), or since 2003 as an Important Bird Area (IBA), represents an “oasis” for wildlife and especially for the avifauna.

This ecological observance was created by EUROPARC Federation in 1999. EUROPARC Federation is an independent non-governmental organization that works with national parks across Europe.
